Poly Copper™ Powder provides bioavailable, polysaccharide-coated copper for quick and easy supplementation. While there are a variety of important trace minerals needed for your horse’s diet, copper is commonly deficient and may be due to inherently low levels in some forages or from copper antagonists, such as excessive sulfates in drinking water or high iron intake, which interfere with copper absorption and utilization. Copper plays an important role in coat and skin pigmentation, hoof health, bone formation, and storage of other key minerals. To help improve its bioavailability, the copper in Poly Copper Pellets is partnered with polysaccharides to help protect the key mineral as it moves to the intestines where it can be more effectively absorbed and utilized.
